Day 34 : New trick – Setting the timer for 60 minutes

Happy day after Christmas! Nice to have all that busyness behind me, although all the festivities were oh so fun. Especially opening gifts with my love and cooking our traditional Christmas breakfast together.  Our day was so quiet and peaceful, at times boring, and that was healing too.  After so much travel and Christmas prep … Keep reading…

Day 31 – Sunrise from my studio

I LOVE watching the sunrise rise from my studio window. Pictures don’t do this justice, but in the far background, you can see the lake – its a little slice of blue in the bottom center of the picture.  I don’t live ON the lake, but at least I have this sweet lake view in the … Keep reading…

Day 30 – Challenge is over

I’ve made it to day 30 of my challenge to do art everyday, and get up at 5am to do it!  Yahooooooo!!!!! Now what?  This worked so well, I don’t want to stop.  But before I start another challenge, and perhaps extend this one, I want to consider what worked and didn’t work with the … Keep reading…

Day 29 – Loving this collage!

I’m so excited about where this collage is headed.  The planets floating from the window make my heart race with joy! Feels like I’m close to calling it done, but not quite. Still needs a bit of tweaking. Something seems missing with the little girl – a crown maybe?  More experimenting left to do – … Keep reading…

Day 28 – Adding more to “Wendy” collage

Thanks to my 30 day challenge to do art EVERY day, I’ve accomplished so much.  Feels amazing to be focused on what I love with every fiber of my being. I added a couple cool new elements today, that will most likely stay on the finished collage.  What changed since yesterday?   This is really … Keep reading…

Day 27 – What is “wendy” reaching for?

Ahhh, finally found something for “Wendy” to reach for.  I’m continually moving images around, adding, subtracting, coloring, nudging.  Can you find what I changed today?

Day 26 – Real progress on “wendy”

My favorite collage elements are stairs, windows, doors, keys, masks, moons, and circles.  No wonder several of these are making their way onto this collage.  LOVE the addition of the stairs.  Adds some context to the scene.

Day 25 – One piece at a time is added!

Sometimes this seems like the SLOWEST process, sometimes only adding one piece after working for many hours taking images on and off this collage. What has been added today?

Day 24 – Dreaming about “Wendy” collage!

More pieces are added.  Can you tell what has changed since yesterday?  One step forward, one back – hardly seems like any movement, but I don’t stop each day until I like each piece on the collage, which could mean removing some.
